The film uses interviews with Jane’s family and psychiatrist as well as key players in the police investigation and prosecution to ask whether lingering doubts about the case are justified. Could it have been a case of manslaughter not murder? Or are the victim’s family and the prosecution right to consider her “a danger to all men?”.
