All that You Need to Know about Conditional Formatting in Microsoft Excel

Conditional Formatting, in Microsoft Excel, enables you to highlight cells, or range of cells based on certain conditions, to visually explore and analyze data.

The conditional formatting works by changing the appearance of the cells based on the conditions that you specify: only when the conditions are met, then, the cell or cell range is formatted; else, the cells remain as such without formatting. You may use the built-in formatting options in Excel, or create your own conditions. You can apply conditional formatting to a single cell, range of cells (including a named range), Excel Table and Pivot Table
