Avid Editing Essentials Level 1

I’ve got all the disks plus a basic/beginning set by Genuis (http://www.geniusdv.com/avid-dvd.php) and Avid HD training too. Disks 3 and 4 are already here but looks like no seeders around. If you want me to up 3 and 4 after I finish upping disks 1 and 2; put in a request and PM me to let me know you did so. I hadn’t planned on upping the Genuis DVD since it is so basic but if enough people want it…. As for the HD disks, those will be upped sometime later. The Desktop series is excellent and most everything taught in the series can still apply to Avid Xpress Pro 5.x HD. Get your feet wet with Desktop first. I have yet to watch the HD set completely myself since I don’t have a a HD camera yet. Remember, the more you seed, the sooner I can up the others. [Read more…]

Instructor Chris Converse covers masking out the tripod; applying a two-dimensional logo, retouching, and color adjustments; and adding special effects. The technique uses After Effects and Photoshop, and a new Creative Cloud tool called SkyBox Suite. The exercise files are free, so you can follow along even if you don’t have a 360-degree camera. Wise words from Walter, but where to begin?
Taught by Enzo Tedeschi, FCP213 will take you through some of the basics and some of the intricacies of Final Cut Pro. As with any other post-production
tool, true value comes from its proper use within a well-designed workflow. So in addition to a bit of "what does this button do", Enzo will more importantly
be talking about Final Cut Pro’s place within the larger context of a production as well as more creative editing techniques for storytelling. While this course
will slightly touch on items covered in our other FCP offerings, with a new prof comes new and interesting perspectives. [Read more…]
